Position Overview

Cedarhurst of Waterloo, a regional healthcare provider and a true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Life Enrichment Coordinator (Activities Coordinator).

Role Responsibilities
  1. Lead community activities programs as directed by the Life Enrichment Director and/or Executive Director.
  2. Introduce new residents and their families to the community's life enrichment programs.
  3. Assist in coordinating holiday decoration displays and contribute to resident assessments, including completing or ensuring completion of Life Stories.
  4. Assist in taking activity attendance and completing family messaging using our electronic platform.
  5. Drive the community bus for outings and appointments as needed.
  6. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director or Executive Director.
Qualifications
  1. Genuine passion and interest in caring for seniors and individuals living with dementia.
  2. Ability to work well with others, communicate clearly, take direction, and show initiative.
  3. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings for special events.
  4. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Physical ability to meet the demands of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with assistance.
