Overview

The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of cultural, educational, leisure activities, outings, and special events. The role includes assisting with resident transports and developing the monthly activity calendar.

Positions available:

Part-time 12p-4:30p Mon - Fri, every other weekend, 20-25 hours per week

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and facilitate activities
  2. Plan Lifelong Learning opportunities for independent living residents on campus and organize trips to other venues.
  3. Coordinate off-campus trips for residents, including day trips, overnight, and multi-day trips.
  4. Independently offer educational opportunities, which may involve presenting programs.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associates degree in gerontology or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Licensure/Certification: A minimum of 90-hour Activity Training Certificate; COTA; valid Ohio Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Experience: At least 1 year in activities, program, or event planning. Must be computer literate and able to work independently. Excellent communication skills required. Ability to engage older adults in enriching programs.
  • Schedule: Flexible for some evening and weekend activities
