Overview

We are currently seeking a Life Enrichment/Activities Coordinator to join our team! Flexible hours and days are available; just ask and we are happy to discuss with you! Join a team who has fun together and enjoys interacting with our caring residents.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a monthly offsite activities calendar for distribution 1 week in advance of the activity’s month; including signup sheets, flyers and reservations as needed, using the company application Uniguest/Touchtown.
  • Review activities calendar with transportation staff prior to distribution. Manage any conflicts to ensure all trips, including medical appointments, are properly addressed in advance of activities calendar distribution.
  • Ensure each offsite activity is fully vetted for safety, accessibility and enjoyment for the community.
  • Provide ample opportunities for any resident to suggest and participate in any offsite trip as appropriate to their abilities and the destination environment.
  • Secure reservations for any trips as required are in place and verify location and timing in advance of trips.
  • Provide periodic updates to all trips as needed, verbally, in writing and/or using the company application Uniguest/Touchtown.
  • Maintain records for all trips status and participation.
  • Work closely with the Director of Life Enrichment and Finance to submit and maintain financial records for all departments spending in a timely and accurate manner; including but not limited to gas for fleet, activities supplies for both independent living residents and healthcare.
  • Check email periodically throughout the day and respond timely.
  • Create weekly/monthly movie fliers based on resident committee input.
  • As needed, at the Director of Life Enrichment’s direction, ensure work orders for all activities and/or events are completed accurately and on time. This includes communication with the Dining and Maintenance departments as needed.
  • Maintain the 5 activity bulletin boards and calendar stands throughout the facility – engage resident volunteers when possible.
  • Plan and promote all trips with engaging highlights and descriptions including but not limited to pricing and menus when applicable.
  • Attend quarterly resident run ‘Life Enrichment Core Committee’ meeting to provide input and guidance to availability of suggestions from the committee.
  • Attend monthly ‘Safety Committee’ meeting as the Life Enrichment department representative.
  • As directed, work with the Director of Life Enrichment to recruit, screen, interview, train activities staff.
  • Work positively and cooperatively with all department personnel as well as residents to provide a welcoming environment.
  • Attend annual in-service programs and other required training as assigned.
  • Continuously explore new and exciting opportunities for community activities.
  • Manage Life Enrichment department petty cash.
  • Allow a flexible weekly work schedule that may include some weekends or evening hours.
  • Review time-off for transportation staff prior to submitting request(s) to the Director of Life Enrichment for approval.
  • Review transportation needs (trips and medical) with staff and provide backup as needed.
  • Have a working knowledge of all HIPA policies and procedures.
  • Responsible to develop, plan, organize and implement a full array of offsite activities.
  • Work closely with the Director of Life Enrichment to review and finalize all aspects of a monthly calendar for 200+ Independent Living Residents. Provide a high-level confidential support to the Director of Life Enrichment.
  • Provide direct supervisory responsibility to transportation staff, including but not limited to hiring and reviews.
  • Responsible for attending a variety of administrative meetings and resident committees.
  • Responsible for ensuring all services invoicing is received and processed timely.
  • Ensure all programs are accessible and suitable for the community. Provide a welcoming and positive environment.
  • From the Coordinator, in the Director of Life Enrichment’s absence, team leadership including decision making is necessary for all aspects of the workplace within the Life Enrichment department.
