Job summary

Cascades of Oregon City is seeking a Life Enrichment Associate to lead a varied schedule of enrichment activities for residents, encouraging participation and tailoring programs to individual needs.

You will drive residents with a valid license, communicate with staff, residents and families, and facilitate small-group presentations. Weekend availability is required; 30–32 hours weekly; pay $17.00–$19.00 per hour.

• Must possess current first aid certification and a current food handler’s or serve safe certification
• Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
• Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families
• Demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support by treating others with dignity and respect
• Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve
• Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
• Experience in planning, organizing and executing a varied schedule of life enrichment opportunities for all levels of seniors
• Valid Driver’s license as this role will require driving residents

As the Life Enrichment Associate (Activities Assistant) with Cascades of Oregon City, you play a big part in making our resident’s lives more meaningful by assisting in the various activities. You’ll be depended upon to take the lead in encouraging resident participation and over time come to understand the individual needs of each resident.
