Job summary

SMP Health – St. Catherine North in Fargo, ND seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and lead activities that enhance residents' physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. You will help create a vibrant, connected community where residents feel valued.

This role supports celebrations, fosters engagement, and works with residents, families, and staff to deliver meaningful moments. Day shift, full-time, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, customer service, education, or related fields preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing, and compassionate personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative, organized, and dependable.
• Experience working with older adults is a plus.
• Ability to encourage engagement and create meaningful resident interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, organizing, and leading resident programs and events.
• Encourage participation in group and individual activities.
• Support wellness programs across social, recreational, physical, spiritual, and cognitive areas.
• Transport residents to activities as needed.
• Decorate and prepare activity spaces for events and celebrations.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and staff.
• Conduct one-on-one visits with residents who avoid group activities.
• Maintain activity supplies, calendars, and participation records.
• Support holiday celebrations and community events.
• Promote dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life.

SMP Health is seeking an energetic and compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at St. Catherine North. In this role, you will help create meaningful experiences that enhance residents' physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive well-being.

As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a vibrant community where residents feel connected, valued, and supported.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and leading resident programs, activities, and special events
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities
• Support social, recreational, physical, spiritual, and cognitive wellness programs
• Help transport residents to and from activities as needed
• Assist with decorating and preparing activity spaces for events and celebrations
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members
• Conduct one-on-one visits with residents who may be unable or reluctant to participate in group activities
• Maintain activity supplies, calendars, and participation records
• Support holiday celebrations, community events, and special programs
• Promote resident dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life

Pay & Benefits
