Job summary

Brookestone Gardens is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help residents stay connected, active, and engaged through group activities, events, and one-on-one interactions.

You will support programming that promotes physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being, transport residents as needed, and document participation to help maintain high-quality resident experiences. A positive, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
• Basic computer and iPad proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and video communication platforms.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and resident needs.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with integrity and service focus.
• Clean driving record and ability to transport residents using a facility vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and leading resident activities and events.
• Encourage participation in programs promoting physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Transport residents to activities and outings using a company vehicle when needed.
• Complete documentation related to activities and resident participation.
• Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional resident experiences.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Pass a physical examination
• Lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds
• Reach above shoulder level and below waist level
• Bend, stoop, twist, and move throughout the day
• See, hear, and communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and team members
• Remain on your feet and actively engaged for extended periods of time
• Operate a vehicle safely
