Job summary

Monarch Communities / Brandywine Senior Living in New Jersey is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to enrich residents and help run engaging programming. This part-time role involves planning spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional activities, and supporting residents to stay active and connected.

You'll promote upcoming events, lead or assist activities like arts, music, games, and sing-song sessions, and assist with transportation for events when needed.

Qualifications

• You quickly connect with people and love to learn about them.
• Use talents such as singing, dancing, art, poetry, history, or trivia.
• Exercise creativity and bring energy to activities.
• Active driver's license in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Get to know residents to plan and run programming across spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural and emotional needs.
• Promote and communicate upcoming events and activities.
• Facilitate and participate in programming, including games, art, music, and other activities.
• Move residents to programming areas and assist with transportation as needed.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events, including moving furniture and decorations.

Other organizations sometimes call this role an Activities Assistant, but we believe this role deserves the very special title ofLife Enrichment Assistant!

At our community, our Life Enrichment Assistants play a key role in enriching our residents to live an active vibrant life!

$15.92/hour

What will you get to do as a Life Enrichment Assistant?

• Get to know the residents of our community so that you can help with the planning and implementation of spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional programming that will make residents feel engaged and fulfilled.
• Promote and communicate upcoming community events and activities.
• Facilitate and participate in programming. Residents love games, painting, singing, and music and we need someone to help organize and run these events!
• Going room to room to get residents and bring them to programming/event areas.
• Utilize social media, email, and newsletters to showcase the fun things happening each day!
• Those 21 or over may occasionally drive the company vehicle to transport residents to and from events.
• Help set up and break down events and activities, including but not limited to the following:

• Moving furniture such as chairs, tables, sofas, etc.
• Getting decorations or supplies from storage.
• Putting up and take down decorations, which could involve the use of a ladder.
