Job summary

Front Porch Communities & Services at Spring Lake Village in Santa Rosa, CA, is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help plan and deliver programs that promote residents' social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being.

You will assist during activities and outings and foster a positive, inclusive community experience, coordinating calendars and communicating with residents and families. A High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of prior experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months prior work in an organization.
• Ability to coordinate activities and communicate with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Life Enrichment Assistant will implement programs to meet residents' needs, interests, and abilities, individually or with community participation.
• Assist in provisions for materials and supplies and maintain inventory for activities.
• Prepare and post a calendar of activities; communicate with residents and families about activities and information.
• Assist with assessments and maintain records, plans, reports, and evaluations of the program and participation.
• Assist with conducting activities and stay engaged during activities.
• Help schedule locations and transportation for outings; coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
• Provide direction to volunteers and vendors as directed by the Director of Life Enrichment.
• Recognize and report concerns about residents' physical, mental, and/or emotional status to management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Life Enrichment Assistant
• Implement programs to meet the residents' individual needs, interests, and abilities, individually and through community participation.
• Assists in making provisions for materials and supplies. Maintains an inventory sufficient to complete activities as needed.
• Prepares and posts a calendar of activities. Continuously communicates with residents and family members regarding activities and information.
• Assists with assessments and maintains up-to-date records, plans, reports, and evaluations of the program and resident participation and functioning.
• Assists with conducting activities and/or participates in activities while remaining engaged during the activity.
• Assist in scheduling and confirming locations and transportation for outings. Contacts and coordinates with outside vendors or groups as needed.
• Assists in providing direction to volunteers and vendors as directed by the Director of Life Enrichment.
• Recognizes and reports concerns regarding residents' physical, mental, and/or emotional status to management.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

• 6 Months prior work in an organization
