Job summary

StoryPoint of Louisville East is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help plan and perform activities that support residents’ social welfare and interests in our senior community.

You will assist the Life Enrichment Director with program direction, handle some administrative tasks, ensure resident safety, and help maintain activity spaces. A compassionate, flexible candidate with basic computer skills and ability to work with a team is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years related experience or training preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holiday hours.
• Compassion toward the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.
• Proficient in general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction, planning, communication and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Support the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support in proper setup, clean up and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks and upholding safety practices.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.

Position Summary

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands to handle keyboard telephone paper files and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift andor move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
