Galerie-Living-1 is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to work with the Life Enrichment Director to provide engaging activities for residents inside and outside the community. You will promote resident well-being through recreational programming, coordinate with other departments, and help with transportation and volunteer partnerships to support enriching experiences for all residents.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• One year of related experience in senior living preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and compassion for residents, associates, and guests.

• Monitor resident activity and psychosocial status; report changes to the Life Enrichment Director.
• Coordinate transportation to local facilities and assist with driving the community bus and other vehicles.
• Attend required staff meetings and complete annual trainings.
• May be required to consent for MVR checks; report driving infractions promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized activity areas; demonstrate quality service standards.
• Act as a team member contributing to achieving department goals.

Job Title: Life Enrichment AssistantReports To: Life Enrichment DirectorSummary: The Life Enrichment Assistant works with the Life Enrichment Director to provide appropriate activities both in and out of the community. The Life Enrichment Assistant promotes resident well-being and satisfaction through support with recreational activities and communicates with other departments to ensure resident needs are met.Responsibilities and Duties:Assist in the implementation of daily activities within the community guidelines and rules and regulations to promote resident well-being. At a minimum, activities must include group social activities, outdoor activities, spiritual programs, outreach programs, arts and crafts, exercise, music and drama, educational opportunities, and one-on-one interactionsTake photos and submit to Marketing following various activitiesUnder the leadership of immediate supervisor, assists with and supports the networking actions for retaining a volunteer base, maintaining a relationship with local businesses, organizations and schoolsMonitor resident activity, functional status, psychosocial status, reporting any resident change in condition to the appropriate designeeAlert resident status changes and communicate these changes to Life Enrichment Director and Wellness DirectorKeep activity areas clean and organizedProvide transportation to local medical facilities, shopping, church, voting, outings, and miscellaneous errands with the understanding that this position requires the ability to drive the community’s bus and any other vehiclesAttend required staff meetings and complete all assigned annual trainingsMay be required to consent for the community to run an MVR report upon request anytime during employmentMust immediately report any cited or ticketed driving infractions to the Life Enrichment Director or Executive DirectorDemonstrates proficiency & essential quality service standards pertaining to enriching resident centered activities and programming; partners with community team in striving for excellent quality care & service deliveryActively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goalsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or GED RequiredOne (1) year of related experience in senior living preferredKnowledge and Skills:Exhibit good time management and organization skillsPossess the ability to handle complex issuesDemonstrate strong interpersonal communication skillsExpress compassion for residents, associates, and guests on a consistent basisMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionIs willing to work flexible hoursDemonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skillsWorking Conditions: Specific physical requirements are outlined in accordance with the American Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA)Interaction with co-workers, residents and vendorsWeekend, evening or night work as needed100% of time spent on site in communityPossible exposure to communicable diseases and infectionsExposure to latexPossible exposure to blood-borne pathogensSubject to injury from falls, burns, odors, or cuts from equipmentPhysical Demands:StandingWalkingsittingUse of hands and fingersReach with hands and armsClimb or balanceStoop, kneel, crouch or crawlTalk/HearTaste/smellVisionAbility to lift up to 50 pounds
