Description

Effective August 1, 2024, Presbyterian SeniorCare Network began providing management services to seven UPMC Senior Communities. These services include recruiting and hiring for Beatty Pointe Village, Cumberland Crossing Manor, Cumberland Woods Village, Hampton Fields Village, Sherwood Oaks, Strabane Trails Village, and Strabane Woods.

This Full-time position is located at Cumberland Woods Village, an independent living community in McCandless, PA. The hours are mainly Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend hours for Legacy Lineup Events and resident activities.

Our Life Enrichment And Event Coordinator is responsible for:

• Creating and maintaining a commitment to purposeful programming through the enhancement of the four pillars of successful aging (Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, and Social).
• Demonstrating, understanding, and putting into practice a person-centered philosophy to help develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, and team members.
• Coordinating monthly newsletter and programming calendar that includes entertainment, tours, and events for residents within the community, celebration of special moments, and holidays.
• Managing large, specialized, and high-profile events from initial concept to completion for the Legacy Theater.
• Providing support for all events at Legacy Theater.

Our Life Enrichment And Event Coordinator is required to:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Therapeutic Lifestyle or Gerontology, or four years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with person-centered care and dementia care.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Activity Director Certification (ADC) preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with residents, families, and team members.
