Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a Life Enrichment Activity Aide to create meaningful experiences for residents. You will assist with activities, events, and programs that promote social engagement, enjoyment, and overall well-being.

The role is full-time with Tue-Sat schedule 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay range is $15.30-$16.50 per hour, with a benefits package including insurance, FSA, retirement plan, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Friendly, caring, and dependable with a passion for working with older adults.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical activity throughout the workday.
• Ability to push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a Christian-centered environment, including participating in devotions, prayer before meals, and Bible-based activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group and one-on-one activities for residents.
• Help plan, organize, and carry out activity programs and special events.
• Assist with creating and posting monthly activity calendars.
• Support resident engagement through required documentation and recordkeeping.
• Work closely with the Life Enrichment team to provide quality programs that meet resident interests and needs.
• Promote a safe, welcoming, and caring environment for residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Report concerns, incidents, or suspected abuse according to policy.
