The Johns Hopkins University is seeking an Assistant Director of Life Design, Physical & Materials Engineering to lead the Life Design Lab’s career readiness and life design offerings for engineering students. The role reports to the Senior Director for Undergraduate Education and emphasizes scalable, equity-centered programming and collaboration with multiple engineering majors.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree required.
Three (3) years of experience within a higher education, government, non-profit, or corporate setting.
Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

Scale life design and professional development for students and alumni, with focus on engineering portfolios.
Design and deliver scalable workshops and programs for career readiness and life design.
Develop asynchronous and on-demand content to share best practices at scale.
Manage targeted outreach to boost participation, engagement, and outcomes.
Engage with social media, journals, and associations to build the program brand and thought leadership.
Provide strategic individual and group coaching for career readiness and life design.
Track student outcomes such as attainment, offers, and engagement in high-impact experiences.
