Job summary

RTX Life Cycle Engineering in Massachusetts is seeking a Life Cycle Engineer to ensure aerospace systems are safe, reliable, and maintainable throughout their life cycle. You will perform RAM analyses, RCCA investigations, and FRACAS support while collaborating across engineering disciplines to drive robust designs.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, provisioning development, and participation in proposal efforts.

What You Will Do:

Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.

As a Life Cycle Engineer,you’llbe an integral part of the Engineering Design team interfacing directly with team members and stakeholders including customers and program leaders. In this role, you’re responsible for a variety of analyses and trade studies to ensure the systems we design are reliable and easily maintained.

• Perform Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses including mean time between failure (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), RAM Modelling, and Failure Modes Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
• Assess production and field failures and determining root cause and corrective action (RCCA)
• Support Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) tasks by analyzing failure data, trends, and supporting failure investigations
• Develop and maintain supportability analyses and provisioning data
• Collaborate with cross-product teams including Chief Engineers, Program Directors and Program Managers
• Apply advanced logistics principles to develop complex program level concepts and plans
• Provide support for proposal development and BOE writing.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working in a professional environment such as internships or co-ops and/or on project teams
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to present to work collaboratively across disciplines
• Experience with various areas of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, and electrical schematics) and experience generating/interpreting Parts List
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
