Job summary

Nashville Rescue Mission is seeking a Life Coach to join our Men’s Life Recovery team. The Life Coach mentors participants, guiding life and social skill development within a biblical framework to help them reconnect with Christ and build new boundaries.

This role reports to the Director of Therapy and Life Coaching and requires teaching core classes, leading devotions, and speaking at chapel services. Daily routines include group coaching and coordinating care with therapists.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Theology, Social Services or Psychology is required.
• 3–5 years of related experience; experience in a biblical recovery program is preferred.
• Competency in biblical knowledge, organization, documentation, public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic personality capable of building harmonious relationships with staff, students, volunteers and community.
• Acquire and maintain valid certifications (crisis prevention, first aid, CPR, Narcan); Nashville Rescue Mission provides certifications.
• Ability to qualify as a designated Mission vehicle driver with a valid license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, coaching, and care to an assigned caseload with group and individual coaching.
• Teach core curriculum, devotionals, and program chapels; lead group discussions.
• Collaborate with the program team to maintain daily schedules and goals.
• Participate in events, staff meetings, trainings, and committees, including some weekends/holidays.
• Perform room inspections, assist with work therapy chores when needed, and cover duties during staff absences.
