Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a Life Coach to support clients at the Edmonds New Start Center. You will handle intake, goal setting, and connections to healthcare, employment, and community resources to promote housing stability.

The role emphasizes trauma‑informed, culturally responsive case management and housing navigation within an onsite emergency housing facility serving up to 45 individuals. A strong commitment to anti-racism and social justice is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with case management of low-income homeless populations.
• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Understanding of homelessness, poverty and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed case management in an onsite setting.
• Conduct intake, set client goals, and connect to community resources.
• Coordinate housing navigation and employment support for clients.
• Maintain confidential client records and progress notes.
• Support clients in transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing.
