POSITION SUMMARY


We are looking to hire a new Lieutenant for the Minnesota FPS Contract (Minneapolis/Metro Area), who possesses a minimum of three years of security experience within the past five years and looking to become part of a team that allows career growth. The Hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, with Friday's hours being flexible pending staffing and other Management needs.



PAY TRANSPARENCEY/COMPENSATION


Hourly Rate or Salary Range $32.65/hr


Health and Welfare $4.47/hr



Responsibilities



  • Inspections of posts and PSOs throughout the month. Could involve traveling to outstate posts in a Company provided vehicle

  • Delivery of uniform orders, post supplies and company documents

  • Manage post books (memos, duty book, company folder)

  • Collect end of the month paperwork from all posts

  • Teach SMART Book training if necessary

  • Fill open shifts during on call weekends

  • Issue disciplinary actions as needed

  • Assist with new hire training as needed

  • Filling call-offs, and filling shifts as needed

  • Will need to obtain a Top-Secret clearance through the Company to have the ability to visit the FBI post in MN

  • Order and maintain uniform inventory

  • Other duties as assigned by the captain and/or the Contract Manager


Qualifications



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component the United States Armed Forces. Ability to pass a NRA firearms qualification course

  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age

  • Must have a Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individuals name and social security number

  • A minimum of two (2) years of security (armed), or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status with a full-service police department in a municipality, state, or federal enforcement department within the US, and have resigned or retired in good standing; or

  • A minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard) Component

  • Firearms training and firearms qualifications, and company certifications meet state/federal certifications

  • Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English

  • Familiarity with securing facilities and/or vehicles at a fixed location

  • Physically capable of standing a 12-hour post

  • High School education or GED equivalent

  • Ability to pass a background investigation

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam

  • Ability to pass MRPT suitability requirements

  • Demonstrable Proficiency with a Handgun

  • A minimum of two (2) years of successful experience in field supervision (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement or commercial/industrial security force service)

WORKING CONDITIONS:


Position is primarily in office setting. Occasional travel is required.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Position requires sitting for long periods of time. Continuous computer use. Duties require using hands and wrist for typing and computer usage for long periods of time, lifting more than 10 pounds, bending twisting, and standing. Some activities that involve standing for long periods of time. Requires conducting regular site visits.
