Job summary

Doc PersonalBeratung GmbH seeks a Unit Lieutenant to plan, coordinate, and direct security staff in a medium/maximum security facility in South Carolina. You will oversee custody, control of inmates, and building security while ensuring OSHA and cleanliness standards are met.

Responsibilities include routine unit inspections, supervising staff in daily duties, assisting with inmate counts, and handling complaints and disputes within the inmate population. A supervisory role is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Three years experience in correctional, security, military, or police work to include one year of supervisory experience.
• A degree in criminal justice or related field may substitute for supervisory experience year for year (associate and above = 1 year).
• Must be certified by the SCDC training academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
• Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma and relevant experience. A bachelor degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
