Job summary

DK Law in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Liens Specialist to support the Post-Treatment Department in identifying, negotiating, and resolving liens related to client settlements. This in-office role suits someone who thrives in high-volume environments and understands medical billing and legal compliance.

You will review case files, negotiate lien reductions, draft dispute letters, and maintain organized records. Strong negotiation and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• :1+ year of experience in lien resolution, medical billing, workers’ compensation, or personal injury law.
• Understanding Medicare/Medicaid lien processes, ERISA, and private insurance liens.
• Strong negotiation and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g., Clio, SmartAdvocate).
• Highly organized with the ability to manage a high caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential liens and review related documents.
• Negotiate lien reductions with insurers, providers, and government agencies.
• Draft dispute letters, proposals, and resolution agreements.
• Maintain detailed lien records, deadlines, and resolutions.
