Job Description

Job Title: LiDAR Calibration Analyst II

Classification: Full Time Salary, Exempt

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 + Bonus eligibility and Benefits

Reports to: Data Production Manager

Date: 05-01-2025

Summary:

The LiDAR Analyst II will support the development of Phoenix LiDAR Systems through analysis and processing of remotely sensed data from various sensor types. This role requires a thorough understanding of LiDAR system components, their data streams, and their applications in geospatial products. The analyst will collaborate with software development, production, and sales teams, guiding hardware and software development decisions, and supporting client relationships. The role demands rigorous methodologies, comprehensive documentation, and the ability to work independently to deliver actionable, well-researched results.

Essential Functions:

  1. Calibrate integrated LiDAR systems and perform detailed quality control
  2. Identify data issues, troubleshoot, and determine root causes
  3. Generate data products adhering to end-user specifications
  4. Maintain expertise in GNSS/IMU coupled trajectory processing
  5. Produce detailed reports from data analysis and investigations
  6. Evaluate and develop workflows for LiDAR and Photogrammetry software
  7. Conduct technical training for clients
  8. Develop and follow strict data quality standards
  9. Document software workflows
  10. Understand industry needs and advocate for clients

Supervisory responsibilities: N/A

Work Environment: Primarily in office/remote setting

Physical Demands: Extended sitting, standing, and computer use

Position Type and Schedule: Full-time, On-Site/Remote, 9:00am-6:00pm CST, Monday - Friday

Required Travel: 10-15%, fluctuating based on demand
