Job summary

career-land-center-2 seeks a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join a dedicated team serving children, adults, and families in the Roxbury community. The mission is to strengthen mental, emotional, and social wellbeing for underserved populations through compassionate, culturally competent care.

Responsibilities include individual and group psychotherapy, assessments, and treatment planning, with collaboration across the care team and engagement with community partners to

Qualifications

• MSW degree from an accredited institution.
• Active MA LICSW license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of outpatient therapy experience with diverse populations.
• Experience with immigrant or refugee communities preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency or multilingual ability a plus.
• Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy to clients of all ages, including psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop treatment plans that support client goals.
• Collaborate with medical providers, therapists, and care-team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Engage in community outreach and build relationships with community partners to enhance services.
• Supervise and support a team of case managers, LICSW social workers, MSW interns, and community health workers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Contribute to program development that supports mental health services for children, families, immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities.
