Job description

Agency Overview: The Healing Project of MN envisions a world where mental health care is accessible, affirming, and equitable for everyone — particularly those from marginalized communities. Our mission is to challenge and dismantle the systemic barriers that have long excluded people of color, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant families from the care they deserve. Through compassion, cultural humility, and a commitment to justice, we aim to create a future where all individuals—regardless of their identity—can heal, grow, and live with dignity and resilience.

We provide accessible, culturally affirming mental health care for children (9+), teens, young adults (18-35), and college students across MN, especially those from historically marginalized communities. Our team works to reduce stigma and increase by advocating for trauma-informed, equitable mental health and holistic wellness services.

Summary: The Healing Project was founded in 2022. As a growing agency in our third year of operation, we’re deeply committed to challenging systemic barriers in mental health care — both for our clients and within our field. This role offers the opportunity to bring your voice, shape the future of our agency, and be part of disrupting outdated systems with purpose and integrity. The Clinical Supervisor ensures we remain in compliance with Minnesota state regulations and insurance requirements by providing clinical supervision and case consultation to pre-licensed therapists and clinical interns. The Clinical Supervisor will collaborate with the on-site task supervisor to provide biweekly supervision to MSW clinical interns and offer case consultation to W2 and 1099 therapists or care coordinators, as needed, to support ethical, trauma-informed care across our time. The Clinical Supervisor will provide timely feedback on clinical documentation, including DA's, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, and serve as the designated Mental Health Professional for credentialing and billing purposes. Our team specializes in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care for individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and a wide range of traumatic experiences. We integrate TF-CBT, narrative exposure therapy, somatic approaches, and mindfulness-based modalities.

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:

• The Clinical Supervisor is expected to carry a small caseload of 3-5 clients.

• Assess and diagnose mental health disorders

• Provide evidence-based and client-centered therapy to clients

• Collaborate with the client and treatment team to write Integrated Treatment Plans

• Make referrals according to client needs

• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary staff meetings

• Adhere to the highest ethical standards

• Maintain accurate and timely records

Qualifications:

• Must have a MSW from an accredited university

• Independent licensure as a LICSW in the state of MN

• 2-5 years of experience assessing and treating children and families required

• Demonstrated knowledge of cultural diversity and the role of culture in the therapeutic process

Commitment to Equity: The Healing Project of MN actively encourages women, people of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals with disabilities to apply.

Position Status: Part-time W2 employee. This can be a 1099 contractor position if the candidate prefers.

Estimated Hours: A maximum of 10 hours per week
