Job summary

Basic Fun! is seeking a Licensing Specialist to manage the product submission and approvals process with licensors and internal teams.

Based in Boca Raton, this full-time, on-site role collaborates with internal partners and oversees license applications across jurisdictions. You will coordinate production samples, maintain licensor portals, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and support cross-functional teams while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in all licensing activities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in presentation creation including PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including high level Excel, Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• Have a curious and creative attitude and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills around consumers’ needs.
• Ability to be highly functional with minimal direction.
• Office in-person Monday through Thursday with Friday remote option.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with internal partners to manage the product submission and approvals process as per Milestones calendars with a diverse portfolio of licensors pertaining to Basic Fun.
• Manage and maintain the interaction with Licensor’s approval systems & software, as well as Basic Fun!’s internal approvals system
• Responsible for coordination for Licensor production samples, as per contract.
• Oversee and manage the preparation, execution, and timely and accurate filing of all license applications in all jurisdictions where the Company conducts business.
• Work with the Senior Manager of Licensing to ensure the timely and accurate completion and submission of license applications, as well as responses to follow up requests from regulatory agencies.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Vice President of Global Licensing & Marketing and Senior Manger of Licensing.

Position Overview:

• Work collaboratively with internal partners to manage the product submission and approvals process as per Milestones calendars with a diverse portfolio of licensors pertaining to Basic Fun! This includes packaging and marketing submissions as well.
• Manage and maintain the interaction with Licensor’s approval systems & software, as well as Basic Fun!’s internal approvals system
• Responsible for coordination for Licensor production samples, as per contract.
• Oversee and manage the preparation, execution, and timely and accurate filing of all license applications in all jurisdictions where the Company conducts business, or as is otherwise required.
• Work with the Senior Manager of Licensing to ensure the timely and accurate completion and submission of license applications, as well as responses to follow up requests from regulatory agencies.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Vice President of Global Licensing & Marketing and Senior Manger of Licensing to assist with and monitor licensing applications and renewals.
• Provide support to the Creative Services, Product Development, and Marketing Teams regarding Licensor Style Guides and Assets requests and on-line access to Licensor asset portals.
• Maintain absolute custody, control, and confidentiality of all information encountered during the course of work.
• Provide support to a cross-functional team responsible of responding to Licensor Audits, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the Sr. Vice President of Global Licensing & Marketing and Senior Manager of Licensing.
• Full-time on-site position located at our company’s headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida.
