Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Contracting and Commissions Specialist for our Insurance Operations team. The role involves responsibilities related to licensing, contracting, and various commissions functions. The successful candidate will collaborate with the New Business Case Management, Contracting, and Commissions teams to support our financial professionals. Candidates will be considered for remote work regardless of geographic location if their qualifications align with our needs.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Maintaining current contracting data in our CMS (contract level, hierarchy, etc.)
  2. Ensuring hierarchy information is accurate and current
  3. Reviewing contracting and appointment paperwork for completeness and accuracy
  4. Processing contract paperwork with life and annuity carriers
  5. Notifying agents and recruiters of missing paperwork
  6. Working directly with agents regarding contracting materials and appointment processes
  7. Assisting with onboarding new agents
  8. Maintaining broker dealer contracting requirements
  9. Managing carrier commission schedules
  10. Reconciling commission statements and collaborating with the commissions vendor
  11. Addressing commission inquiries and issues from agents
  12. Calculating monthly commissions for internal sales consultants
  13. Ensuring all SLAs are met consistently
  14. Performing various reporting tasks

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in insurance contracting and/or commissions roles
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Creativity in suggesting process improvements
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Customer service orientation for internal and external clients
