Job summary

SLP Operations in Willis, Texas, seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing care under the direction of the Director of Nursing and supervise CNAs in delivering resident care.

You will review medical records, monitor resident status, administer medications, coordinate admissions and discharges, document promptly, and support care plans while upholding resident rights and safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing.
• Ability to supervise CNAs and coordinate resident care.
• Must be able to interact positively with residents, families, regulatory agencies, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain medical records and nursing notes; assess residents’ status.
• Monitor resident activity and provide nursing care per physician orders and care plans.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders accurately.
• Prepare and administer medications according to policies.
• Complete charting and documentation in a timely manner.
• Promote resident rights and participate in care plans.
• Supervise CNAs and provide coaching as needed.
