Job summary

SLP Operations is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing care to residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing in a long-term care setting. The LVN will supervise CNAs, administer medications, and ensure accurate charting and documentation in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.

The role requires collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team, participation in care plans, and ongoing competency training.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and licensed by the state.
• Must supervise other employees and work collaboratively to achieve resident care objectives.
• Must interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies; work with staff at all levels.
• Must maintain consistent attendance and be willing to work long or irregular hours, often under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain medical records and nursing notes; assess residents’ status.
• Monitor resident activity and provide nursing care per physician orders and care plans.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders accurately.
