Job summary

WellMed, part of the Optum family, seeks a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) in Texas to deliver clinical support and nursing care under providers and RNs. You will perform procedures, document in EMR, and coordinate patient care under established policies.

Requirements include an active LVN/LPN license, IV certification if required, current BLS, strong medical terminology knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Active State Vocational/Practical Nursing license.
• BLS certification current.
• Proven knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
• Proficient computer skills to work with EMR systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perfoms nursing duties within LVN/LPN scope (injections, meds, EKGs, phlebotomy).
• Coordinate care with providers, RNs, and policies.
• Document assessments and care in the medical record.
