Red River Hospital is a leading provider of inpatient and outpatient behavioral healthcare in Wichita Falls, TX, specializing in drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring mental illnesses. With over 40 years of experience, we operate a 96-bed inpatient psychiatric facility dedicated to behavioral health and substance abuse treatments, serving military personnel, adults, seniors, and adolescents (ages 12-17).

Essential Functions
  • Monitor patient health and administer basic care using the nursing process.
  • Provide comfort and implement individualized nursing interventions.
  • Discuss care with patients, listen to concerns, and report to registered nurses and doctors.
  • Keep accurate records of patient health and medication administration, including controlled substances.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
  • Administer medications safely and document appropriately.
  • Maintain professional standards in accordance with policies, regulations, and standards.
Other Functions

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills

Graduation from an accredited nursing school required; one year of acute mental health nursing preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

Current LVN license in Texas, First Aid, CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certifications required (training provided upon hire).
