Job summary

HealthRIGHT360 seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the NCSH Residential program in California. Under supervision of a RN/Nurse Manager, the LVN delivers direct, in‑person care aligned with individualized treatment goals in Residential and Withdrawal Management Programs.

Responsibilities include client assessment, vital signs, medication management, documentation, and participating in meetings. Requirements: CA LVN license, BLS, CA driver’s license, background clearance, and willingness

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid license with the California Board of Vocational Nursing.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and access to registered and insured transportation.
  • Experience working with dual diagnosis populations; nursing experience in community mental health, behavioral health, or recovery treatment centers preferred.
  • Must complete background check and livescan clearance.
  • We will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, in-person nursing care within Residential and Withdrawal Management Programs under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
  • Deliver care aligned with individualized treatment objectives and uphold professional boundaries.
  • Take vital signs, monitor client care, and observe universal precautions.
  • Medication management: coordinate with physician, pharmacy, and staff on prescriptions and protocols.
  • Document treatment progress, reports, and follow-ups; attend meetings and supervision; ensure licensing compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a vital role in delivering direct, in‑person care and monitoring to clients enrolled in Residential and Withdrawal Management Programs. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager, the LVN provides care aligned with individualized treatment objectives. The LVN consistently upholds professional boundaries, adheres to nursing standards, and demonstrates cultural sensitivity. By treating all clients with respect, compassion, and empathy, and by collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team, LVN supports the delivery of high‑quality care and promotes positive treatment outcomes. The LVN provides coverage on all shifts as scheduled.

  • Client Care & Clinical Support: Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care plan; monitor client care and treatment; assess and report on client behavioral changes; take accurate vital signs; observe universal precautions; maintain a safe environment; interact with clients to support participation; assist with orientation, admission, transfer, and discharge.
  • Medication Management: Provide timely updates and status reports to the physician for clients receiving withdrawal management, MAT, and/or with co‑occurring mental disorders; facilitate filling of client prescriptions; work with the pharmacy; pick up medications; audit medication room; maintain medication book; provide staff training on medication protocols.
  • Administration and Other Duties: Document client treatment progress, incident reports, and medical follow‑ups; identify, report, and assist with emergency management; provide clerical support; complete required training.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and supervision; maintain compliance with licensing requirements; perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

Hourly: $33.60–$35.70 USD
