The Aptus Group is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a temporary school-based assignment in Pacoima, CA. The LVN will step in as the school nurse, providing health support to students, administering medications, and responding to first aid needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring students with medical needs, maintaining confidential health records, and collaborating with school staff to ensure student well-being during school hours.

Qualifications

• Valid LVN license required by Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician.
• Experience with children or in a school setting preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; problem-solving.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support to students throughout the school day.
• Monitor students with ongoing medical needs and follow care plans.
• Respond to student health concerns and provide first aid as needed.
• Monitor student health and communicate concerns to school staff.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health documentation.
• Follow school health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student health and well-being.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

The LVN will step in as the school nurse, providing health support to students, administering medications, responding to first aid needs, and helping maintain a safe and supportive school environment.

Pay Rate

$32.00 - $37.00 per hour

Qualifications
