Job Description

A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a California school setting provides direct health care services to students under the supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or designated administrator. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring student health conditions, providing first aid and emergency care, maintaining health records, assisting with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs), and supporting students with special medical needs. LVNs collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being, safety, and access to education in compliance with California state regulations and school district policies.
