Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join Ventana by Buckner. You will provide professional nursing care, administer treatments, monitor residents, and support the care team to uphold our high standards.

This onsite role requires a valid LVN license, CPR, good English communication, and a caring, teamwork-oriented approach. Prior experience is preferred. Buckner is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active LVN license and CPR certification.
• 1 year related experience preferred or Buckner training.
• Proficient in basic health care practices and infection control.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to care plans and administer prescribed treatments.
• Conduct meaningful rounds with residents and document visits.
• Administer injections and perform in-house testing; record vital signs.
• Supervise nurse aides, assign duties, monitor work, support activities program.
• Communicate with physicians and follow orders; handle medication prep and documentation.
• Maintain medication room, cart and refrigerator condition.
• Chart accurately per facility policy and state guidelines.

We are seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses to join our community committed to delivering outstanding care to our residents. As an LVN, you will impact the lives of our residents through providing professional nursing care. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others!

What you’ll do

• Ensure adherence to individual service plans and administer prescribed treatments.
• Conduct meaningful rounds with residents and record visits on charts.
• Administer injections, perform in-house testing procedures, and record vital signs.
• Supervise and assign duties to nurse aides, monitor their work, and assist in carrying out the activities program.
• Communicate with physicians and follow through with orders. Handle medication preparation, administration, and documentation.
• Monitor condition of medication room, cart, and refrigerator.
• Chart accurately and in accordance with facility policy and state guidelines.

What you’ll bring

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse License.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum one-year related experience preferred, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training.
• Working knowledge of basic health care practices and procedures, including infection control.
• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
