Overview

AtVoyages Behavioral Health / PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. PAM Health has over 80 hospital locations and employs over 11,000 people across the country. Our teams work together to deliver the highest level of compassionate care ensuring the best possible outcome for our patients.

PRN- Must be able to provide an eight(8) shift availability per month

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing high quality, prompt assistance with triaging and coordination of transfers from other facilities. The transfer center nurse monitors and responds to triage needs and completes direct referral acceptance process. The nurse uses technology as a platform for reviewing patient’s clinical needs and delivers prompt communication of acceptance or deflection. This position collaborates and works closely with referral sources, physician’s, nurse’s, etc. The Transfer Center nurse reports and is accountable to the Director of Assessment and Referral for Voyages. This is an exempt position.

Qualifications

Education and Training: Valid LVN license. Completion Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) and CPR within 30 days of hire and prior to patient contact. Experience: Previous experience in behavioral health and substance use field; working with case management, hospitals, and admissions preferred. Excellent customer services, verbal and written communication skills. Organizational and multitasking skills. May be required to work flexible hours. Position may be facility based or remote. Shifts will vary to support this 24/7 department; will include day and overnight coverage with shift time that may vary over different US time zones.
