Responsibilities

The vocational nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator. The LVN applies clinical nursing knowledge and skills to ensure patient and family safety and comfort, adhering to legal, organizational, and professional standards. The LVN identifies priorities and makes judgments concerning the basic needs of multiple patients to organize care.

• Location: Main Campus, with travel to Memorial Villages and Springwoods Village

• Salary Range: $48,143 - $70,652 (based on education, experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program

Experience

• LVN I: 6 months in a clinical area or successful completion of a KSC LVN Residency program
• LVN II: 4-8 years in a clinical area
• LVN III: 9+ years in a clinical area

Licenses

• Current and valid Texas LVN license

Skills

• Ability to use equipment and supplies for the assigned patient population
• Computer skills; EPIC experience preferred

Other

• Current BCLS certification
