Job Description: The vocational nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator. The LVN applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. The LVN identifies priorities and makes judgments concerning basic needs of multiple patients to organize care.

Salary Range: $48,143 - $70,652 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Education: Required: LVN I/II/III - Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.
• Preferred: N/A

• Experience:

• LVN I – 6 months in a clinical area or successful completion of a KSC LVN Residency program.
• LVN II – 4-8 years in a clinical area.
• LVN III – 9+ years in a clinical area.

• License(s): Required: LVN I/II/III - Current and valid Texas LVN license.

• Special Skills:

• LVN I/II/III - Able to use equipment and supplies for the assigned patient population in the clinical area.
• Computer experience.

• Other:

• LVN I/II/III - Current BCLS certification.
