Job Description: The vocational nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator. The LVN applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. The LVN identifies priorities and makes judgments concerning basic needs of multiple patients in order to organize care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area.
• Work under the supervision of Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator.
• Apply clinical nursing knowledge and skills.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Identify priorities and organize care based on patient needs.

Job Details

Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) I/II/III – Gastroenterology - Sign On Bonus $5,000

Location: Bay Area Bld. B, Pearland

Department: Gastroenterology

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $48,143 - $70,652 (based on education, experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.

Experience:

• LVN I: 6 months clinical experience or successful completion of a KSC LVN Residency program.
• LVN II: 4-8 years clinical experience.
• LVN III: 9+ years clinical experience.

Licenses:

• Current and valid Texas LVN license.

Skills:

• Ability to use equipment and supplies for the assigned patient population.
• Computer skills; EPIC experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Current BCLS certification.
