**Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Emergency Department (ED)**

**Work location:** Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North, Allen, TX 75013
**Work hours:** Full Time/Nights (11A-11P) for 36 hrs/week. Rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
**Emergency Department Highlights:**

· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
· Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 70-90 patients/day
**Here’s What You Need:**
· Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing required
· 6 months in an acute care setting or completion of a THR Residency Program
· LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse required and
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required.
· A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
**What You Will Do:**
· Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
· Collects data and reports significant findings to RN. Affiliation Needs – Engages family/caregivers in health care situations.
· Uses nursing model to obtain adequate data to initiate, implement, and revise plan of care to meet patient, physician, and family needs.
· Complies with personnel policies, i.e. attendance policies, ID badge, dress code, LVN Scope of Practice.
· Attentive Reassurance – Listens and concentrates on others. Is reliable, available, and attentive.
· Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
