Job summary

Villa Serena Healthcare Center in Long Beach, CA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team on a part-time basis. Shifts include the AM 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with supervision provided by a Registered Nurse to ensure high-quality care for residents.

Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting assessments, and developing individualized care plans while maintaining resident privacy and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• California LVN license active in good standing
• CPR and IV certification required
• English reading, writing and speaking proficiency

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Villa Serena Healthcare Center. As an LVN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to designated residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

Requirements:

• Minimum of High School degree or equivalent
• Long-term care experience preferably in a sub-acute setting
• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse by the State of California
• Must be certified in CPR
• IV certification
• Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
• Emotional maturity, reliability, tact, integrity, and good judgment
• Ability to interact effectively with team members, residents, families, and visitors
• Knowledge of accreditation and licensing standards

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, and lifting of residents on a regular basis
• Occasional loud outbursts by residents may be expected
• Ability to hear within normal range and express or exchange ideas frequently
• Ability to accept and carry out responsibilities on a regular basis under the guidance and direction of a nursing supervisor

Salary: $33 - $38 HOURLY
