Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Long Beach, CA, in a school-based role with a $36 per hour rate. Roles follow regular school-day hours, with summers and school breaks off, offering long-term placements and day-by-day options.

You will deliver basic nursing care, administer medications, provide first aid, assist with health screenings, triage concerns, document care, and support wellness initiatives within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License.
• Previous LVN experience.
• Experience interacting with or caring for children.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care to students and staff under the supervision of the School RN.
• Administer medications per physician or school health orders.
• Provide first aid and CPR as needed.
• Assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, health assessments, etc.).
• Triage student health concerns, assess symptoms, and elevate appropriately.
• Document care provided and communicate updates to the School RN and relevant staff/families.
• Support wellness and preventative health initiatives.
• Perform related duties as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License
• Previous LVN experience
• Previous experience interacting with or caring for children
