Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Location: Long Beach, CA

Department: Family Practice and Sports Medicine

Status: Full time

Shift: Days (8hr shifts)

Pay Range: $26.99/hr - $39.15/hr

Sign-on Bonus: $3,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) cares for patients in the ambulatory setting by collecting subjective and objective data, recognizing problems or abnormal conditions, and performing psychosocial assessments using active listening and communication skills. The LVN contributes to the development of the patient care plan and implements, under the supervision of a physician, AHP, or RN, only those parts of the plan within the LVN scope of practice.
