Position Details

Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse - Mobile Narcotic Treatment Program

Department: MNTP/Program Development

Reports To: Program Supervisor

Position Summary

Join a dedicated team of substance use disorder treatment professionals! We are seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse to join Tarzana Treatment Centers' Mobile Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). In this fast-paced environment, you will work with a multidisciplinary team providing individual and group counseling, screening, assessments, and other duties as assigned by the program supervisor.

This role involves providing direct patient care, administering medication, counseling, health maintenance, assessing patient needs, and functioning as a charge nurse when designated.

Salary Range

$31 - $45 per hour DOE

Key Duties

1. Conduct nursing assessments and interventions for medical and psychiatric diagnoses.
2. Administer medications, monitor effectiveness, and observe for side effects.
3. Complete pre-admission triage and determine medical appropriateness of admission.
4. Monitor medication intake and communicate changes in patient condition.
5. Document nursing goals, interventions, and outcomes.
6. Participate in treatment planning as a team member.
7. Respond to medical emergencies.
8. Use necessary medical equipment competently.
9. Perform blood draws as ordered (additional certification required).
10. Attend required training sessions.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited LVN or LPT program and licensed in California. Preferably with two years of recent acute care experience, especially in behavioral or chemical dependency settings. Excellent communication skills are essential.
