The Licensed Vocational Nurse II performs highly complex nursing work, providing care, treatment, and general welfare for individuals with complex mental health, behavioral, and medical diagnoses at the State Hospital. Responsibilities include routine and non-routine nursing tasks, specimen collection, health screenings, staff training, and technical nursing procedures, under the supervision of an RN. The role involves adhering to policies, assisting in training staff, and participating in emergency and disaster response activities.
Must be licensed as a LVN in Texas or a state recognizing reciprocity, with at least six months of LVN experience, preferably with mental health experience. Valid Texas driver license required if transporting patients.
