Job summary

AHMC HealthCare seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in California to provide skilled nursing care under RN supervision. The LVN will collect data on patients’ physical and emotional needs, monitor family concerns, and report abnormal findings promptly. Requires CA LVN license, BLS, ACLS, IV certification, and NIHSS Stroke certification. Candidates demonstrate safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a LVN in the State of California.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and ACLS required.
• Required IV certification.
• Required NIHSS Stroke certification.

Responsibilities

• Under leadership of the RN, gathers data on patient’s physical and emotional needs.
• Gathers data on family psychological needs.
• Reports abnormal vital signs and lab findings to the RN and provides skilled nursing care to assigned patients.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of normal limits of vital signs and commonly used lab tests by recognizing abnormal findings and reports them to the RN. Under leadership of RN the LVN gathers data on patient’s physical and emotional needs. LVN gathers data on family psychological needs. Under leadership of RN the LVN provides skilled and safe nursing care to assigned patients.
