Compensation Range: Anticipated base compensation rate is in the range of $30.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Department: 718011 Endocrinology

Expectations: The LVN supports physicians and nursing staff in healthcare delivery by performing patient assessments and various medically related tasks. The LVN is a licensed nurse working in an ambulatory care setting to provide nursing services within the scope of practice.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Diploma from an accredited Vocational/Technical LVN program required.

Experience/Training: 1 year LVN experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Required: Current unrestricted LVN license issued by the State of California, Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: Current Intravenous Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certificate issued by the California BVNPT

Skills:

  • Communication: Ability to convey and receive written/verbal information effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with staff, patients, and customers in person and over the phone.
  • Regulatory: Ability to maintain confidentiality, interpret, and apply relevant standards to ensure compliance. Knowledge of clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory requirements. Ability to deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based care, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Technical: Proficiency in software applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and operation of healthcare technology and medical devices within the specialty area.
  • Time Management: Strong skills in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks independently. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
