Job summary

Direct Jobs is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide care under supervision in a clinic setting. You will perform basic patient care tasks, obtain vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with examinations and procedures to support patient flow.

The ideal candidate has an accredited PN/VN education, an active LVN license, and BLS certification. Work hrs are 8 AM–5 PM, Monday through Friday, with full-time employment and ongoing in-service training.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
• LVN license in state of employment or compact.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Under the direction of the physician; performs basic patient care duties including, but not limited to, obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens.
• Assists provider(s) in examination and treatment of patients and with procedures; assists with patient flow through the clinic.
• Answers phone/records messages and assists provider(s) with patient-related calls.
• Assists in scheduling test appointments, results and pre-certification.
• Documents patient information and assists with medication refills.
• Administers medications/immunizations according to provider order.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms; maintains sterile technique per policy and universal protocol.
• Performs routine clerical duties and attends required meetings and trainings.

Education
