Job summary

Helen-Farabee-Centers is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support examination and treatment of individuals served at our Mental Health Centers in Graham, TX. Under supervision, you will assist physicians during clinics, administer medications, immunizations, draw blood, provide treatments, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.

This role requires an LVN license in Texas, and preferred two years hospital or mental-health experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school for Licensed Vocational Nurses.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs duties under direction of a clinical supervisor (RN/Physician/APRN) and works administratively under the Director of Nursing, to assist in examination and treatment of individuals served in the designated Mental Health Centers.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Participation in and assisting the physicians during doctor’s clinic, providing professional, complex treatment and rehabilitation. Provides required laboratory monitoring and medication education classes for consumers. Administers medications, immunizations, draws blood, provides treatments, and observes patients for unusual symptoms and reactions. Provides professional nursing expertise to center staff as needed. Travel will be required.
