Elwyn seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to support individuals in residential group homes. The role focuses on nursing procedures, behavior management, and direct care aligned with health and behavioral needs.

The LVN/LPT may lead shifts, supervise DSPs/CNAs, and ensure ongoing programming while following all policies and mandated reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid California LVN/LPT license required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Human Services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing procedures and direct care in residential group homes.
• Contribute to development of the Individual Support Plan as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• May act as shift lead and oversee DSPs/CNAs while providing active programming.
• Adhere to standards, procedures, and schedules set by supervisors.
• Report suspected abuse in accordance with law and policies.

Job Description

Elwyn seeks a Licensed Staff (Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician) to work with our team in residential group homes.

Primary Function

• The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) perform general nursing procedures, behavior management, direct care and training as dictated by the individuals' health and behavioral care needs.
• Performs nursing procedures as authorized within the scope of practice.
• Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contributes to the development of the Individual Support Plan.
• The LVN/LPT may function as lead staff on the shift and may oversee DSPs and/or CNAs.
• Responsible for providing active programming at all times.
• Responsible for adherence to standards, procedures and schedules established by their supervisor.
• Responsible for ensuring that any suspicion of or knowledge of suspected abuse is reported in accordance with the law and program policies 'Mandated Reporter' (SOC 341).

Requirements

• Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving history
• High school diploma or GED
• Possess and maintain a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician
• Minimum 1 year experience with Human Services field preferred
