Role Description The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX. The LVN provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, including taking vital signs, administering prescribed medications, performing basic treatments and procedures, and monitoring patient status. Daily responsibilities include assisting with patient assessments, documenting care in electronic health records, preparing patients for examinations and minor procedures, and supporting follow‑up care and patient education. The LVN collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team, maintains a safe and clean clinical environment, adheres to infection control and safety protocols, and participates in quality improvement activities. The role also involves communicating clearly with patients, families, and colleagues to support a respectful, patient‑centered care experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in vital sign assessment, medication administration, wound care, and basic procedures appropriate to an LVN scope of practice.
• Strong patient care and communication skills, including ability to explain instructions clearly, respond to patient concerns, and work effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in electronic health records, accurate documentation, and basic computer skills needed for clinic operations.
• Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in outpatient and academic clinical settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing clinical priorities.
• Previous experience in an academic health center, outpatient clinic, or similar setting is preferred.
