Job summary

Fairgrounds Animal Hospital in Reno, NV seeks an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. The role emphasizes client communication, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care in a busy general practice.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, NV license in good standing, and strong skills in anesthesia, dental radiography, and surgical support. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years veterinary technician experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English would be valued.
• Active Nevada Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist in surgery.
• Perform dental procedures including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Support case management and client education.
• Build strong client relationships through education and service.
