The Veterinary Eye Center, NYC's premiere pet ophthalmology center seeks an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician and animal lover to join our growing team at our location in Long Island City.

As a member of the ophthalmology team, in addition to traditional Vet Tech duties, you will be actively involved in:
* Client education
* Ophthalmic disease testing
* Performing pre-surgical diagnostics
* Post operative patient care
* Rounding with the doctor on cases using learned ophthalmology knowledge
* Leading appointments
Requirements:
* Veterinary Technician licensure in New York State
* Anesthesia experience
* Strong record-keeping skills
* Good understanding of drug modality and usage
* Comfort with young and geriatric patients
* Ability to effectively run CPR and a knowledge of life-saving drugs
* Highly evolved organizational skills
What Would Be Ideal
* 2+ years of experience as a licensed veterinary technician
* Anesthesia skills
* Ophthalmology experience
* A desire to pursue VTS in ophthalmology
